The food at BarrelHouse goes crazy. I saw this spot pop up here on Google Maps, and hadn’t ever seen it before. It looked like a spot I had to try, and I’m so glad I did. The guy who greeted us at the door (the owner maybe?) was super welcoming and friendly. The staff were all really nice, even if service was a bit slow. To be fair, they were pretty busy. Everything me and my wife tried was amazing. I particularly liked the sliders and smoked pineapple side dish. It was so amazing to be given a variety of sauces to add to each item. Made it a really fun experience. So many delicious flavor combinations. Can’t recommend this place enough. I’d even go as far as to say this is the best food I’ve had in the neighborhood.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Today I visited Barrel House Queens and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere was excellent with great timing for seating and a very welcoming vibe. The ambiance, décor, and lighting created a calm, comfortable, and relaxing environment. Everything was very clean, and I appreciated the multicultural atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the full platter with the Chipotle tamarind flavor, and it did not disappoint. The ribs were extremely soft, tender, and flavorful. The steak was cooked to perfection and lightly salted just right. The cassava and potatoes were made perfectly, while the tostones and arepas were fried wonderfully. The arepas were soft and fluffy on the inside, adding to the experience. The sangria was excellent, and the cold Stella Rosa paired perfectly with the meal. I definitely recommend trying the pulled pork arepas — full of flavor and very satisfying. Overall, great food, excellent atmosphere, beautiful décor, comfortable seating, and a very clean establishment. I highly recommend Barrel House Queens and will definitely be returning!

Barrel House offers chicharrones—perfectly cooked with a subtle, well-balanced flavor that allowed the quality of the pork to shine through. They were incredibly juicy on the inside while maintaining the satisfying crunch you expect from great chicharrones. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming, making it a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the local vibe, or watch a game. Their drink selection was also impressive, offering plenty of options to pair with the food. What truly elevated the experience were the sauces. The chipotle tamarind, and green sauce each brought something unique to the table and were so good that we found ourselves using them on everything. They complemented the chicharrones perfectly and added layers of flavor that kept us coming back for more. If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere, excellent drinks, and food that’s packed with flavor, The Barrel House is well worth a visit.

Wonderful restaurant, the food is authentic, honestly I was so curious about this spot but now is going to be one of my favorites at northern blv. 100/10 the bartender was really good person and nice service. See you soon

When I heard this place had a brick and mortar, I just HAD TO PULL UP. Please forgive the pictures of the half eaten food, but we were all so excited to eat. Everything was fantastic! The service was kind and quick and the music wasn't too loud. Granted, it wasn't very full this particular day but it was a great time either way. We had the ceviche de chicharrón as an appetizer to start. It was DELICIOUS. They also came with 4 different sauces to try out. All of them were delicious! I actually mixed the tamarind bbq with the signature hot sauce-so so so good!! We also got grilled chicken with rice and beans, smoked ribs in BBQ sauce with a crispy, crunchy arepa, and an order of salchipapa. The fies in the salchipapa were double fried- super crispy and yummy. We ended our meal with coffee and churros. Everything was perfect and so good. I highly recommend this spot, it's a gem in the neighborhood. I truly wish this place so much success and many blessings- it seriously deserves it!!
